Why Do I Love My Dog So Much It Hurts? (A Personal Story)

Why do I love my dog so much it hurts?

  • Dogs are our best friends.
  • They love us unconditionally and without judgment, they comfort us when we’re down, they always want to be near us, and they’re just generally the best companions.
  • We see them as our babies that never grow up. When we meet them for the first time as puppies, they’re so small and cute! It’s hard not to fall in love with them instantly.
  • They teach us about unconditional love every day of their lives. You can see it in their eyes—you can tell how happy your dog is just by looking at them!
  • The way your dog greets you each day with its own energy and love.
  • The multitude of ways it shows how happy it is to see you.
  • The way it comforts you when you’re feeling down and just need a good cuddle.
  • The way it puts you first in everything they do.
  • The unconditional love it gives you, even when you’re at your worst.
  • Being greeted with your dog’s face when you wake up or coming home to your dog running up to greet you is better than any greeting card.
  • The unconditional love it gives us is better than any gift or material thing that could be bought.

My Feelings

It’s been a tough day. I’ve been dying from laughter from the moment I woke up, and all of it has been because of my dog.

We’ve been playing for hours, wrestling with each other and running through the woods, chasing and pulling each other back.

We’ve been doing all kinds of dog things, and even though I’m exhausted, I still feel so incredibly happy.

I love my dog so much. Sometimes it hurts to love someone or something so much.

But I do. My dog loves me, and I love her back. She’s my best friend, and her affection is the only thing that will keep me going through life.

My dog keeps me strong, healthy, and happy. She’s a major part of my life, and I wouldn’t change her for the world.

My dog is my best friend, and no matter how messed up life gets, she helps me through it.

I wish everyone could love so deeply and so truly.

I wouldn’t change a thing about my dog. I love her just the way she is, and I would never want to be without her by my side.

And because of her unconditional love, I feel like I’m doing something right in life.

You Become a Better Person

My dog makes me want to be a better person, because if she’s my best friend, then I have to be the best me that I can possibly be for her.

I do my best to be a good human being, and I know that she appreciates it.

If you’ve ever had or wanted a dog, then you’ll understand what I’m feeling right now: the unconditional love that isn’t forced.

They don’t judge you for what you’re wearing, they don’t care if your fingernails are painted black or if your hair is greasy and full of split ends. They simply love you for who you are.

I’m lucky enough to have such a dog. She’s everything that I could ever want in a friend or a pet.

There’s such an instant bond when you’re around your dog. They’re so incredibly loyal and sweet.

With them, you can’t just be yourself; you have to fully commit yourself to the moment and show them all of the love that you have for them.

I know I’ve said this before, but it needs to be said again. My dog is my best friend, and she loves me unconditionally.

I’m glad that my dog sees her forever home with me. It means that she knows how much I love her.

I wouldn’t change her. I’m so glad that I have someone to make me laugh, help me feel better, and give me unconditional love.

My Gratitude

So thank you, dog. You’ve made my life so much better than it would be without you in it.

I know that if I said these things to you first, you’d realize just how amazing our relationship is. But I know that you hear me now, and we’re one.

I wish we could be together forever, and no one could ever take you away from me again. And I’m so happy that my dog does that for me.

Love is incredibly powerful. It can move mountains and tear down walls brick by brick with the simplest touch of a finger or the softest stroke of a fluffy tail.

The love I feel for my dog is like nothing else in this world.

I’m not sure exactly what it is, because there’s no textbook definition for what love is, but if there were, it would be the same as the love I feel for my dog.

I don’t know how to pinpoint the exact feeling of love that I have for her. There are so many different forms of it, but it’s always at its core–unconditional.

I don’t know who said it first, but I’d like to give them credit because they’d be able to tell you all the reasons why their love is different and special.

No matter how different our love is from others, it’s always the same in a way. It’s a love that fills a person’s heart and soul with an incomparable warmth that can only be understood by those who have it.

Unconditional Love

This love is all-encompassing, and there are no limits to it even when they try to push you away, you want them back in your life again.

This kind of love is unconditional, and they deserve it more than anyone else in the world.

I admit that not everyone has this kind of love for their pets, but I do because my dog is truly one of a kind.

She’s different from all the other dogs I’ve ever known. She’s my best friend, and she’s the only animal that truly understands me and loves me unconditionally.

It means more than anything to know that someone can love you like this and still understand and respect your boundaries and needs as a human being.

I would never let anyone take her away from me.

This relationship with my dog is so special because she’s so unassumingly perfect.

I didn’t expect her to be so innocent and pure. Every time I think about her, I miss her.

I wish that she could be with me forever because I know what kind of person I’d be if she were here with me every day.

We talk for hours sometimes about everything, but then we just hang out quietly and stare into each other’s eyes until something makes us laugh or smile again.

I don’t know how long she’ll be with me, but I hope it’s forever.

She’s the entirety of my heart in a furry little package. She’s my best friend, and she loves me unconditionally in a way that no one else has ever done before.

I know that all of us have some kind of baggage, but my dog doesn’t care about that.

No Judgements

That’s what makes my dog so awesome. She doesn’t judge me for saying the wrong thing or the right thing; she just loves me for who I am and who I wasn’t yesterday or who I will be tomorrow.

She’s like the biggest bear hug ever wrapped up in fur.

She’s my best friend, and I’m so glad that she loves me back.

I want her to be happy, but I want her with me no matter what. She has been by my side for years now, and she means the absolute world to me.

I hope that she loves me back unconditionally. I’d do anything for her to be happy and well-fed, because she deserves the best life she can ever have.

My dog loves me no matter what I do, but that doesn’t mean that she can’t love someone else just as much or even better than I can sometimes.

There’s nothing wrong with her loving me. She’s done everything for me unconditionally, and it’s my job to do the same for her when she needs it.

My dog is my best friend, and she’s taught me so much about life, trust, and love. She’s made me the person I want to be by having patience with both me and others.

She’s shown up at so many good moments in my life. Her timing was perfect in so many ways, and her presence has been a saving grace when I needed it most.

My dog is the one good thing in this world that is pure and innocent.

The Special Bond

This love is so special between a person and an animal because it can be neither bought nor sold.

It has no limits or boundaries; it’s unconditional.

She’s my best friend, and I love her more than I can ever express.

She is everything that is good in this world. She’s all of my heart wrapped up in fur, and I love her with every fiber of my soul.

I don’t know what else to say, but she’s truly one of a kind. She has no limits; she’ll always love me no matter what.

She’s taught me better ways to love and show my love in a way that’s hard not to love her back completely.

No matter what happens, I know that she’ll be there for me for as long as she lives. She’s the best friend anyone could ever have, and I love her so much.

She’ll always be in my heart and in my memories. She’s the most amazing animal in the whole world, and she always will be.

No one can ever take her place in my heart; she’s simply perfect.

Final Thoughts

My dog means the world to me.

She’s one of the greatest things that have ever happened to me, and she’s the only thing in this world who truly loves me for who I am.

Thank you for sharing my feeling about my dog and I hope that you actually can feel some of the same love for your dog.

Enjoy time with your dog.

It goes by so fast.
